Norfolk is rich in history, as it was settled in as early as 1793, and can be toured while taking the Walking Tour of Historical Site in Norfolk Town Center. Norfolk officially became an independent town in 1870 after breaking away from Wrentham, Franklin, Walpole and Medway. Norfolk Public School Districts services children residing in Norfolk from Pre-K thru Grade 6 while the King Philip Regional School District services children residing in Norfolk, Plainville and Wrentham from Grades 7 - 12. Norfolk is 15.2 sq. mi. and has a population of about 11,689 people. Norfolk is about 20 minutes to I-95, 15 minutes to I-495, and 11 minutes to Rt. 1. Both Logan International and T.F. Green Airport just under an hour away. The Franklin Line commuter rail will take just about 75 minutes from Norfolk Center to South Station during morning and evening commutes.
